The registered office of the Mangalam Group of Concerns is located at Mangalam building, S.H.Mount, Kottayam-686 6006, KERALA IN INDIA

FOUNDER CHAIRMAN: The Mangalam Group was founded by late Mr. M.C Varghese, a prodigious person with divine vision of the future and keen sense of understanding, very compassionate, philanthropic and more concerned about his fellow beings

We offer an integrated amalgam of great courses, outstanding faculty and an eco- friendly campus, the combination of which is particularly important for enriching the overall international learning experience.  We provide for a healthy ambience in all aspects for the students to do and complete their professional education in the campus.

Education is a great mission as visualized by the Mangalam Group. The students are given full opportunities to utilize every occasion for the materialization and self realization of each and every student.

To impart value-based education with a view to cultivate and develop the character of children,  to guide their minds towards independent, creative thinking,  to strengthen their skills, to inculcate tolerance and understanding about responsibilities towards their parents, fellow beings and the society.

The Literacy work of Mangalam Group aims at rendering charity for the deserved towards the ultimate development of our country.  Mangalam Group focuses on building up a quality and value based education in Science and Technology, Education, Management, Architecture, Fine Arts etc at higher-professional level with special emphasis on equipping meritorious students belonging to downtrodden families in our country.  Our Vision is due to certain specific reasons, such as

(i) Only an educated Society can build up our nation in development

(ii) The Youngsters of our country are keen to do higher education

(iii) The people of our country are willing to accept changes in technology

(iv) The country is in need of more scientists, dedicated educationalists, Management and professionally qualified experts in every area of life to educate and develop the country in quality and values.

The younger generation is expected to acquire knowledge with patriotic spirits and soft skills for being competent to face any sort of hurdles in their respective areas, for we nowadays lack research oriented higher education catering to the requirements of industrial world. Advancement of a highly sophisticated society solely relies on curious professionals with profound understanding and dynamic individuality with much commitment. With a view to mould up the new generation, we are planning to launch new projects, leading to a start up village, and as part of materializing innovative our ideas, the Mangalam Group has taken ardent initiatives, absolutely with a charitable view, to focus on professional education at all levels based on our Mission that upholds TEACHING AND HELING

Being a Charitable Organization, Mangalam Group of Concerns mainly, at very outset, focused on publication and literacy mission that has subsequently led to the formation of three Charitable Societies, such as Mangalam Foundation, Mangalam Educational Societiy and Mangalam Karunya Society, in order to popularize the message of education and literacy among the youth and the illiterate.

The Societies, which are registered under the Travancore-Cochin, Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955, are promoted by Mangalam Group under the ardent efforts of its Founder Chairman, Late M.C.Varghese who had taken keen interest to popularize education, especially literacy among the rural folks in Kerala that has subsequently led to declare Kottayam as a district of 100% literacy in Kerala. Mangalam is now concentrating on PUBLICATION, HEALTH and EDUCATION, which are the three inevitable activities, demanded by the civilized society.

Mangalam as a sole proprietary concern came into being in April 1969 under the initiative of late Mr. M.C Varghese, an extraordinary visionary with social commitment and dedication. The starting was with the publication of a weekly, titled Mangalam. The success of the Mangalam weekly marked the dawn of a new era in the publishing sector in Kerala. Today the Mangalam Group of Companies enjoys a comfortable spacing in one of India’s largest media houses.

The great Philosophy behind the Charity of Mangalam Group is that no one shall be deprived of his/her rights and no human being shall be discriminated on the basis of caste, colour, creed, race, religion or gender. We visualize an ideal society with no disparity and corruption.

According to the United Nations, Community Development is a process where community members come together to take collective action and generate solutions to common problems. It is a broad term given to the practices of civic leaders, activists, involved citizens and professionals to improve various aspects of communities, typically aiming at building stronger and more resilient local communities based on Mutual Trust, Cooperation, Love and Fraternity. It is the main focus and area of our work.

We do believe that Community development seeks to empower individuals and groups of people with the skills, aptitude and passion they need to effect change within their communities. These are often created through the formation of social groups working for a common agenda. Community developers must understand both how to work with individuals and how to affect communities’ positions within the context of larger social institutions.

So also the Philosophy behind the Mangalam Group is that Mind and Body are correlative and corresponding to each other. Hence both of them shall be enriched for good outcome and to create a promising generation. The Group also visualises in imparting social awareness and training in different skills and career oriented programs with a view to empower and equip all human beings, especially ladies, with new challenges in their existence.

The two greatest potential resources in the most poor and undeveloped countries, as we believe, are the people and the productivity of the land and water. To defeat chronic hunger and poverty, investments must be made in both people and productivity. Investing in people must come in the form of education, pure environment, clean water and sanitation, health and social services and, in some cases, direct food and nutrition support.

In rural areas, such expenditures are essential if the corresponding investments in agriculture and its productive sub sectors are to pay off. Education, particularly women’s education, is one of most important instruments for combating child malnutrition and infant mortality.

There is ample evidence to show that literacy in women is associated with sustainable fertility rates, increased birth spacing and lower maternal death. Literate mothers are more likely to immunize their children and improve their nutritional status. Acquiring knowledge on improved child feeding practices, food preservation and better sanitation etc are key to breaking the cycle of malnutrition.

Education is sometimes described as the social vaccine against HIV/AIDS/Corona Virus etc. Those who complete primary education are more likely to know about preventive measures than taking curative measures to eradicate social evils.

We started our ardent venture in 1985with a small School and nine students. Now more than 4500 students are studying for various courses at the   Mangalam Campus.
